On 9 October 2025, project partner Technology Park Ljubljana hosted a workshop within the BAUHALPS Project, dedicated to testing circularity indicators and new tools for assessing the circular maturity of the construction sector.
The event brought together architects, builders, engineers, researchers, and representatives of social enterprises, who collaborated to explore how circular economy principles can accelerate the shift toward more sustainable, regenerative, and healthier built environments.
During the workshop, participants tested the proposed indicators and provided valuable feedback on a digital tool designed to monitor and evaluate circular practices in construction. The hands-on session encouraged open dialogue and knowledge exchange among different disciplines and sectors.
The discussion was constructive and inspiring, reflecting strong local engagement and a shared commitment to circular transformation.
A particularly interesting insight that emerged was that such tools could be even more impactful if used as a framework for evaluating public support and subsidies—helping ensure that funding effectively supports truly regenerative and circular projects.
The workshop was guided by the principles of the New European Bauhaus (NEB), the UNI/TS 11820 standard, and the DNSH (Do No Significant Harm) criteria, placing inclusion, collaboration, and creativity at the heart of the process.
This event once again demonstrated that cross-sectoral collaboration—from architects to project developers—can generate practical tools and new perspectives that support the transition to a circular and sustainable construction sector.
A heartfelt thank you goes to all participants for their engagement and valuable contributions.
