This week the Alpine Space program celebrated its 25th anniversary in Salzburg!
Waterwise was there, represented by Leon Bögel and Odile De La Rue Du Can, both PhD students who are working relentlessly on our project.
Leon, from the University of Passau, is co-leading the on-site stakeholders’ workshops together with Réserves Naturelles de France, and Odile is part of the Université de Neuchâtel team and is focusing on the hydrological model development activity.
In Salzburg they had the opportunity to meet many colleagues from other Interreg As projects, building connections and synergies. On the third day, participants went on a field trip to Berchtesgaden National Park (Germany), and here they explore areas where the AlpsLife and LiveAlpsNature projects run their activities.
Discovering how projects that are farther along with their timeline are doing and learning from them is the biggest takeway from these initiatives, and effective collaboration with others is the first step to reaching our goals!
