In DiMark project, winter ideas fall as snowflakes; some float in the sky, some rest in Alpine lakes

Dec 22, 2025

Who would have thought that algae could also be seen as snowflakes? Asterionella (shown in the picture) is not a rare genus. Our analyses from the last decade showed that it appeared at least once among the top three genera in nearly three-quarters of the Alpine lakes we studied. Thank you, Interreg Alpine Space, for this opportunity!

Thank you all for being part of the DiMark story. We are excited to continue working together in 2026!

Enjoy the Christmas holidays and all the best in 2026!

P.S. The DiMark PP meeting is scheduled for 28 January 2026. The meeting agenda will be finalised in January.
