Taste the Future: Visit to the New IRIS Space in Rovereto

Aug 13, 2026

Our partner Habitech organized the event “Taste the Future: Visit to the New IRIS Space in Rovereto” on Wednesday, 15 July, at the Kennedy Hall of the Urban Center in Rovereto, in collaboration with the Municipality of Rovereto and the Station 4 Transformation (S4T) team.

The event brought together the BAUHALPS project and Station for Transformation, an EUI project focused on the regeneration of the area around Rovereto railway station. The two projects share a strong connection to the values and principles of the New European Bauhaus (NEB).

Because of this shared approach, the former Bar IRIS was selected as a real-life case study – a concrete testing ground for the tools developed within BAUHALPS.

The event was divided into two parts. At the Urban Center, participants learned more about the collaboration between the two projects and the role of the former Bar IRIS as a BAUHALPS case study.

This was followed by a guided visit to the building, which is now nearing completion and will become an agri-food innovation laboratory. During the visit, participants also took part in an interactive NEB mapping activity, actively exploring the New European Bauhaus principles in the context of the building and its transformation.

We would like to thank the Municipality of Rovereto, lead partner of the S4T project, for taking part in the event and contributing to the development of the activities.
