The Interreg Alpine Space Programme Committee met on 19-20 May 2026 in Vienna (AT) to discuss the 35 project proposals submitted in the second step of the third call for classic projects.
Following two days of constructive discussions, the Programme Committee approved 16 projects for ERDF co-financing. Check out the list of approved projects below, grouped by the specific objectives open in this call:
SO 1.2 – Enhancing the protection and preservation of nature, biodiversity and green infrastructure, including urban areas, and reducing all forms of pollution
- AfterAlpineIce | Managing new ice- and permafrost-free areas in the Alps. Conserving and communicating new ecosystems in Alpine protected areas and beyond
- AlpFuturePaths | Preserving Alpine Trails and Huts in a Changing Climate
- BALANCE | Biocultural Alpine Landscapes to Nurture Communities and enhance Eco-tourism
- PINO | Planning Instruments for Nature-based Solutions. Co-developing and testing spatial planning tools for biodiversity, ecosystem services and ecological connectivity in mountain lowland transition zones
- PollinALP | Reversing pollinator decline in the Alpine Region
- RE-PEAT-it! | Increase resilience and ecosystem functions of peatlands in the Alps as an integral part of a transnational green infrastructure
- ReSkiLience | Participatory revitalisation of Alpine landscapes and nature impacted by obsolete ski infrastructures
SO 2.2 – Promoting the transition to a circular and resource-efficient economy
- BUGALPS | BUildinG Circular Insect Value Chains for Animal Feed in ALPine Space
- Food4Alps | A transformative approach towards resource-efficient food systems in the Alpine region using institutional food providers as drivers of change
- SIMPLIFY | Building Outside standards – Enabling Innovative Resource-Efficient Circular Construction in the Alps
- WISER | Weaving circular Innovation for Sustainable and Eco-friendly Regions valorising and promoting natural fibres
SO 3.2 – Reaping the benefits of digitalisation for citizens, companies, research organisations and public authorities
- DESIRE | Digital Ecosystem for planning Alpine territories’ Integrated Sustainability and Climate Resilience Transition
- IncluDiMi | Inclusive Digital Mobility fostering social cohesion in the Alpine Space
- MOBiREC | Digital Solutions integrating MOBility in Renewable Energy Communities
- RECCAM | Boosting REadiness of rural areas for Connected, Cooperative & Automated Mobility
- SUPER | Digital support for EED and RED implementation for public administrations
Lead applicants will soon receive an official communication together with their assessment report. Successful projects will also be invited to the upcoming Get started! Seminar on 23-24 June in Salzburg (AT), offering practical guidance for the implementation phase as well as opportunities for networking and exchange.
