H2MA is our second new classic project that deals with hydrogen as a key player in the energy transition. The project is primarily concerned with the question of how hydrogen can contribute to the transition to low-carbon mobility in the Alps.
Mobility represents a significant share of CO2 emissions in the Alpine region. In order to foster the transition to low-carbon mobility, H2MA works to coordinate and accelerate the transnational rollout of green hydrogen infrastructure for transport and mobility in the Alps. Through the joint development of cooperation mechanisms, strategies, tools and resources, the project will increase the capacities of territorial public authorities and other stakeholders. The project partners aim to improve the governance of green hydrogen mobility, boost the uptake of green hydrogen for heavy transport, unlock green financing and improve the cooperation framework between public authorities and companies involved in green hydrogen mobility.
