At this year’s congress of the ZFBS – Leadership Centre for Civil Protection in Kempten, the RISK Centre of the University of the Bundeswehr Munich presented current research on the resilience of critical infrastructure in the fields of water supply, wastewater treatment, and energy systems. The contributions were met with great interest and highlighted the importance of applied research and cross-sector collaboration for future-proof civil protection.
As part of the programme, Dr.-Ing. Ivo Baselt shared key insights from the ADAPTNOW project, focusing on public perceptions of climate change and societal responses to growing climate-related risks. The discussions that followed underscored the need to more strongly integrate social perspectives into risk and resilience strategies.
