The Alpine Winter School 2025, organized by Forest EcoValue, will tackle these pressing questions through a three-day online training. Participants will explore practical tools, innovative business models, and real-life case studies designed to support forest ecosystem services in the Alpine region. The program combines expert lectures, interactive exercises, case studies, and group discussions, creating a dynamic environment for learning and exchange across disciplines.

Learning outcomes
By the end of the Winter School, participants will be able to:
- Recognize the full value of their forest to local communities and society.
- Identify and assess critical ecosystem services in Alpine forests.
- Explore and adapt business models that sustain multiple ecosystem services.
- Evaluate the ecological, economic, and social viability of these models.
- Discuss practical opportunities and challenges for ecosystem service markets from both bottom-up and top-down perspectives.

- Actors directly active in the Alpine region: forest owners, managers, forestry operators, local policymakers, NGOs, and value chain actors working in Alpine contexts.
