Description
Emmanuelle George, project coordinator from INRAE, will attend the European Week of Regions and Cities in the “Tourism regions addressing climate change risks” panel. The EURegionsWeek is the biggest annual Brussels-based event dedicated to cohesion policy.
Climate change risks and adaption is a growing challenge for tourism destinations, in particular for regional and local authorities. The Commission Communication on managing climate risks and the European Environment Agency report provide a scientific basis and policy guidance for all European economic sectors. This session aims to showcase how regional and local tourism authorities are addressing climate change risks and adapting their strategies to make tourism more resilient.
