Successful Round Table “Hydrogen in South Tyrol”: Experts discuss opportunities and challenges

The AMETHyST round table “Hydrogen in South Tyrol” took place on 22 June at the NOI Techpark in Bolzano in Italy, bringing together renowned experts from the fields of administration, politics, business, the energy sector and research to discuss the importance of hydrogen as an energy carrier and its potential applications in South Tyrol. The event attracted a wide range of stakeholders and promoted the exchange of knowledge and experience.

The participants presented applications, projects and experiences, and discussed the technical and normative prerequisites for successful hydrogen projects.

Key messages:
All experts advocated courageous decisions. They confirmed the great importance of the public sector for start-up financing and the creation of suitable framework conditions for local green hydrogen ecosystems. The importance of exchange and increased cooperation between the different actors was also stressed.
