The SWIFCOB (Swiss Forum on Conservation Biology) is an annual conference organised by the Swiss Biodiversity Forum. This year’s edition focused on the topic of ecosystem services and took place on February the 9th in Bern. A wide variety of speakers gave insight into their work related to ecosystem services. Starting out with keynotes about the theoretical background of the term and finalising with examples of its implementation into governance, the conference gave a profound insight into current developments in the scientific as well as the practical sphere.
For AlpES this was an ideal opportunity to introduce the project to the conference’s audience – especially since there is no test region located in Switzerland. This was done in form of presenting a poster at the marketplace. As the conference was booked out, we were happy to reach such a big audience and provide information on AlpES.
