In cooperation with the local climate change management, project partner German Federal Environment Agency conducted a workshop on climate change adaptation in the city of Kempten. Nearly 20 participants from policy-making, administration, business and civil society organizations exchanged views about challenges and opportunities arising from climate change impacts for the region. Input presentations by regional experts on challenges to urban green spaces, agriculture, disaster preparedness, and tourism formed the basis for small group and plenary discussions. The workshop closed with a discussion on possible next steps in the joint work.

The workshop was conducted within the scope of work package 3 of the GoApply project, which addresses the role of participatory processes on local and regional level for strengthening adaptive capacities of stakeholders.
