The transition to aging is a gradual process in which the composition of the body changes. More awareness need to be on the risk and consequences of overweight, sarcopenia and malnutrition in an aging population at all levels of care. Managing these risks requires a multidisciplinary, integrated approach, not only at the individual level, but also at the level of the community and the entire social environment.
