A cross-disciplinary, transnational and participative approach to Alpine food cultural heritage

Polo Poschiavo

Founded in 2002, Polo Poschiavo (CH) is an Alpine competence center for vocational education and for the creation and coordination of sustainable cross border territorial development projects. It is situated in Valposchiavo, an Italian-speaking valley of the Swiss Canton of Graubünden.

It has been lead partner in several Interreg Italy-Switzerland projects mainly dealing with sustainable development through a participative approach and the integration of cultural heritage, education, and tourism. Polo Poschiavo participated for Graubünden in the strategic Interreg Project E.CH.I. on Alpine ICH.

Polo Poschiavo is part of a broad international network of alpine organizations focusing on sustainable development and it was actively involved in the organization of the AlpWeek 2012 in Poschiavo. It represents Switzerland in EUSALP AG6 & AG3.

Polo Poschiavo is Lead Partner of AlpFoodway; it coordinates the entire partner consortium and their activities and will develop a transnational vocational training module that will guide participants to develop experiential, storytelling and (online-)networking marketing solutions for their products/services.
