ISRivers (Integrated Sciences and Sustainable Development of Rivers) conference

http://www.graie.org/ISRivers/

This conference, held every three years in Lyon, emphasizes collaborations across disciplines and across the research-practice divide.  If you are not already familiar with the ISRivers conference, you may find it an especially interesting mix of researchers and practitioners, from Europe and beyond, drawing heavily on the innovative river management implemented in the Rhône River basin. The setting in Lyon is especially apt, as the ‘re-conquest’ of the banks of the Rhone is a compelling story of returning river banks to the people (in this case, from their former use as parking lots), as seen on conference field trips.  (in English and French, with simultaneous translation). Abstracts (2-pp) are due 20 November: http://www.graie.org/ISRivers/a_index.php
